Test III - Shark Hunting

Full Name: Keao 123
Age: 6 yrs
Handler: Kanye
Rookery Reputation: CSCR's Rookery Reputation

The last test.... Shark Hunting. Oui.

Kanye didn't know what to think, or do, other than follow the rules
and stay out of it. Easier said than done. Especially with the size of
the sharks that had been hanging around the reefs lately.

Blacktips reef sharks to be exact, and they happened to be on the
'most dangerous sharks' list, the same one with the bull shark and
the great whites....

Keao knew the danger she faced with the test, and she also was
not nearly as impulsive as Broc had been; no, she was a slow and
steady worker, gauging every move before making it, watching and
waiting for the right moment to strike...

Her intended target, a large blacktip, circled slowly, watchful, as if it
sensed it was chosen for something it would not like to be a part of.

Keao lunged, and the shark did as well, away from the asotu, but she
followed. Realizing it's hunter would not be swayed by simply swimming
away, it switched from defensive... to offensive.

Darting out of range, Keao kept away from the sea beast's jaws,
dodging and turning to keep her limb and tail from any nasty bites.

Eventually, the shark made a wrong move, and Keao took the
opportunity to lunge and sink her jaws into the back of the shark's
head.

The beast thrashed, but she used all four of her limbs to hang on,
and as the waters became tinted with red, the shark slowed... weakening.

She then released the great fish, and it, being blinded by pain and rage
chased weakly after her as she lured it closer to shore... after all, it was
a big shark, and it would be hard enough dragging it onto the sands.

Finally, Keao moved in again, and taking the deathly weak shark by the
tail, began the arduous chore of getting the thing to shore...

the poor shark...
it wasn't a fair fight and didn't take into any consideration the sharks feelings...
does he leave behind a family? a pod of eggsacs floating barely tethered to some kelp?

overall this a work with strong patriotic feeling that disguises a real hatred of the animal kingdom, however the forms are brilliant and the attention to detail, especially as regards animal movement is very promising.
