Panyx Adopt Try

EDIT - Yikes! I forgot! 'McFlurry' !!!


I feel in love with these two Panyx - [link] - , and had to try for them. This was originally going to be a sketch, but it wouldn't cooperate, so I made it into a digital piece...I also did that to compensate for my not-so-good story writing skills. Which you will witness firsthand below. I think I went a little overboard with the horns too......I couldn't help it! I can't resist long horns!



"Well, what do you think?"

"I think, but I'm not to sure about that stallion... he may have a problem with all of the others we have."

The Navajo youth nodded in reply.

Niyol and his friend, Sierra, were here at Parrot Stable with their fathers, who happened to be Range Boss and Ranch Owner, respectively, to buy a Panyx mare, and possibly another Panyx stallion.

Both his father and Sierra's foster father were currently with the Parrot Stable staff, most likely discussing possible trades and prices, while Niyol and Sierra wondered the grounds, looking over the Panyx that were for sale. Two had really caught their eyes; a grey-brown mare, and a brilliant green stallion.

The two equines had just been brought out for both youths to evaluate, which they were now on their way to doing. However, another friend, whom they had brought along for just this purpose, was already with the two Panyx and was currently brushing the mare.

"That's why I was thinking we should keep him in the back fourty." Niyol was saying, "That bit of land gets visited at least once a day, so he wouldn't be left to his own. Also , I've been seeing wolf sign down by the creek, and with that stallion around I doubt we'd have to worry about wolves there again."

Sierra grinned, "Ah, good idea. Glad I thought of it."

"Bah!", was the only reply she got, but she caught the grin on the boy's face. A grin that soon turned into a grimace when he saw who was busy grooming the mare.

"Remind me again, why did we have to bring Angel?", he groaned to Sierra.

"Because he's the best judge of horse character on this planet, and you know it. That's why.", was her answer. It was followed closely by another groan.

"Fine, but next time, talk to him about his choice of attire....please? You'd think that after taking all this effort to assume a human form, he'd want to look more presentable....."

Sierra looked at Angel and couldn't hold back a chuckle. Bright orange t-shirt, black shorts, oversized overshoe muck boots..... add all that to his striking black and white hair, and you had quite an....interesting getup.

"Yeeeah....I should probably do that...., but it is Halloween afterall."

"It's not the color choice that bothers me...."

With one last snicker, she addressed the current topic of conversation, "So, Angel; your opinion?"

The pale youth raised his head, and turned his brilliant pure white eyes toward the two walking towards him; all the while keeping his hand on the mare's shoulder.

With an unfamiliar, yet rather musical, accent tinging his soft voice, he spoke only a few words, "Very high, of both."

"Good enough for me."

Both Panyx swung their heads around at the sound of approaching footsteps. The bosses were back.

Three pairs of questioning eyes accompanied Niyol's next query -

"What's the verdict?"
