Interaction :

Mae slept hard.... at ease for the first time in a very long time. Ever since his old mentor
had died, he'd been.... withdrawn. The old man had been the only one outside of his family
that he could call his friend. His.... intimidating appearance and personality made sure of that.

But, since the moment he had first set eyes on the egg... since little Serenity first hatched, he
had felt more..... at peace. Like he had something important to live for.... something to protect.

All this ran though his dreams as he slept, and slept...... and slept. Aye, he hadn't been able to
get much sleep lately either...

So now, not only did he sleep long, he slept hard. Very hard.

So hard in point of fact, that he didn't even stir when the infant drak woke and squeaked, looking
for it's 'mother'. Wheeting pitifully, she crawled blindly towards the warmth of the Icekin, sliding
off the pile of soft nesting material with a whimper and pulling herself onto the lap of the collapsed
youth, curling up, pressed as close to him as she could get.

And still, Mae slept on.

Until the drak woke once again, this time hungry.... very hungry. Her mewling for food finally brought
the Icekin back to the conscious world, and he jumped with a start when he realized that the drak
was no longer where she was supposed to be.... ah, oh well....

"I know what you want," He chuckled groggily, struggling to a stand with the darkdrak cradled in his
arms, "Let's go see if we can find something for you to eat..."
