Ears still back, the mare slid to a stop mere feet from the girl and snorted into
her face. No movment on the girl's part. Kinos squealed and struck the ground
with a hard hoof. Nothing. 

Confusion washed over her face... if that was even posible of an equine. Why
wasn't the human showing any fear... nothing at all.

Pinned ears pricked forward, and Kinos stretched out her muzzle, now well
beyond the point of a slight curiousity.

An ear slipped back as the human turned her head, but by now, the mare knew
the girl wasn't a threat. So she just watched.

Then the human did something unexpected; she blew her breath softly into
the mare's muzzle, much like another horse would in greeting... something
else that confused Kinos. She nickered ever so softly, and the human smiled.

Then the human blew a harder stream of air into the mare's muzzle .

Kinos squealed again and tossed her head, lowering her muzzle to rub her
tickled nose against her inner foreleg. In return, she shoved the girl away
with her head, snorting again. But as the human stumbled and dropped to
her backside, Kinos did nothing but stand over her and whicker... or snicker,
whichever the case might have been.

But... neither girl nor horse were miffed in the slightest. Knowledge and,
dare one say, fun.... had united them.
